Youtube

I find this interesting because I’ve noticed in the past few months a definite change in youtube. The layout is pretty but I feel like they’ve overcomplicated the user interface. For instance, a new feature they just added was that on your homepage, you can view highlights (which is a few or popular videos) or all uploads. I can see why they would think this is a good idea, but the thing is, they didn’t tell anyone about this feature and automatically enabled ‘Highlights’. So for days my subscription box was basically empty because of a feature I didn’t know they implemented.
All the new youtubers I have subscribed to lately, I found them only by extensively searching youtube. I didn’t happen to see them in the related or recommended videos. I had to go out and search. Even for people who have over 100k+ subscribers I had to exhaustively search for.
Not to mention the subscription box is broken and it feels like they don’t really seem to care about fixing it. I can’t view older videos because it will just repeat the ones already listed. So if I’m busy for a few days and can’t watch any videos, I have to go to each individual channel to see if I missed anything.
I’m all up for change, but I feel like there’s a reason why so many of Google’s other social networks have been failing. They try to copy the popular guy and then integrate other google products in and overcomplicate things.
It just feels like Quizilla all over again.

So I got 20% higher in a math class (that I put almost no effort in) than english (which I put the most effort in).
How in the world does that make sense?
